The love of blogging

                                            Bye Bye 2014

A huge farewell to 2014, and a look back to realize why I am where I am today. Being a high tech, social media girl, ever since the internet was invented I have been surfing the web. The remembrance of the annoying dial up tone and the little yellow AOL man, we all know this way to well. Being one of the first hundred on Myspace, and coined the "myspacewhore" I reacted quite well to things like live journal, and online diaries. So naturally blogging just clicked. Unfortunately I didn't realize how stressful it was to have a fan base, and girls that bought everything you posted because they wanted to be just like you. Not to be arrogant but I definitely know how hard it is to be a celebrity. The life-style of a fashion blogger is not easy. Constantly in the spot light, and front row at Mercedes Benz fashion week. Girls like Amy Song, and Luanna Perez even get there own fashion lines. Its pretty amazing how far blogging has gone, and the opportunities we've accomplished as bloggers. Now that everyone has a blog its literally used as a social media way to stay connected with the girls.Anyways with that all said my absence last year was due to this. I found serenity in privacy, and really liked not sharing my fashion, location, and lifestyle tips to girls I despised. Yet I also really missed connecting to those girls I love. With that being said I've came to a realization in life that with all good comes bad, and you learn to live with it, to each is own. We are all individuals that makes us unique, and irreplaceable, no matter what uniform attitude or outfit we wear. Majority of humans are alike yet you are the only thing that makes yourself sparkle. This year Id like to continue my blogging with non stop indulgence, with passion for fashion and living a care free lifestyle. Never hold back, never let anything dull your shine, and be proud, confident, and acknowledged of the great person you are. To another Happy, Joyous New Year.

Challenge Excepted

Today I excepted the challenge to try and spin Victoria's style with my own twist I did this by finding a tribal anthropology type kimono from my late grandmother's closet. This piece I absolutely adore and decided to pair it with some Calli beach vibe. A Belted fedora with some cut up jeans always does the trick. To accessorize I added a quartz necklace and some braided bracelets.Today was a laid back day with my hubby. Beach, ice cream cones, and the drive in theater kinda day. Super pooped and so ready for bed enjoy.

Cowgirl in NYC

After realizing I could not replicate someone Else's style, I realized it was best to stick to my own. This beautiful dress is an Arnhem Clothing vintage, some of their amazing range from a couple years back. Love this Australian designer company. That's not the only Australian thing I love, I also love my amazing new mates I bonded with who I had a kick ass time in the Hamptons with. My trip to the Hamptons before my big bon voyage back to Cali was unforgettable. Had an amazing trip visiting some amazing wineries and seeing what the Hamptons has to offer, not to mention it felt so good to get out of the concrete jungle and see some greenery .. speaking of greenery next weeks post will be showing lots of green so check it out ;)

Macy's says when it's spring in new york

So today I decided to go to the Brooklyn botanical garden to see if the cherry blossoms had blossomed only to find out that it was a Tim Burton garden. All twigs! As we were walking past macys we were astonished by this amazing display of red flowers. Out of all the rose parades I have attended not once have a seen flowers this elegantly placed. Such an amazing day and so ironic that the city's shopping mall would have more flowers than the actual gardens. I wore a fringed poncho over a thick dress to stay warm and accessorized with studs and gems.

Trending Tuesdays ( continuation from veronicas vibes )

I apologize for the major delay, I had some technical difficulties in life shall I say :/ Yet I promise to catch you up on all of it. Basically This post will show you how I can not rock veronica's style, and how only she can pull this look off. Some styles are meant only for certain people, and certain people only. This vintage dress she found and this amazing Aborigine woman's place in Soho. This woman is seriously magical and wears face paint is like 2 feet tall, and I swear shes casting voodoo as you shop yet at the same time shes the most hilarious, talented, and amazing woman for finding all these unique pieces around the world. Only problem is she markets them sky rocket high, guess you have to to pay rent in Manhattan. As for the blog I will post asap about my trip Miami for Ultra, My farewell to New York temporarily ;) in the Hamptons, Botanical Gardens, and Nightlife, and then of course my fiesta in Coachella. Not to mention all the fun crazy sunshine shots, and collections that I am collaborating here back in Cali. Super, Super excited for what is to come sorry for the major delay and I promise amazing stuff is to come. I will promise you this .. I will definitely be posting 8 post this month to catch up for the loss of April, and I will also start a few new weekly things, like whats trending Tuesdays, and 3 ways to wear Thursdays. So stay tuned my loves .... xxo

Will You Be Mine

Spent valentines day working my tush off, and then we out all night so basically I went with the comfy but cute innocent look. You can always accomplish this with a little Lace, flowers, and or hearts esp for Valentines day. Surprisingly I was very happy to see all the adorable couples. Yet kinda annoyed with seeing all the Tinder couples. Come on people Valentines is for Lovers not Slutters haha. I found many women dressing to impress with mini skirts and no tights, when it was freezing out. I decide to keep my outfit more veered towards my personality as a co-worker suggested all about projecting what I want, so I can better achieve it. So this playful white dress from Beacon's Closet ( Manhattan ) and my mom's gifted Heart leggings were perfect to show my spunky personality. The black dress from Cross Roads Trading ( Chelsea ) was sleek for work and topped with my usual Ausi cowgirl style fedora Hat.  Laureen Lucky Brand  buckle boots. With Accessories by me,  Chan Luu, Sole Society, & Tin Tin. till next time loves <3

New York attire

Its seriously been iced over for the past week, and I really am mad that I havnt taken better photos. I promise by spring time i'll do a blog collab with my girlfriends and use a high quality camera and start making this blog look a lot better. Right now I am trying to focus on getting post up in my busy NY life style. Todays post is all about how to dress in the cold. I have come to realize New York has its own fashion in the cold whether we like it or not. The not so popular but must needed salam head wrap is a huge trend. Due to the fact that your ears will freeze off if not covered you must be creative. Ive been having alot of fun meeting new people and going to amazing parties considering fashion week has been full of them. First photo was from a confetti party, and second was at Benny Benassi's show where I decided to wear Novella Royales playsuit perfect for a fahionable but comfortable look. Acessorized with Spell Designs Dreamweaver my fav that I havn't brought out much due to the weather. Further down the line is my favorite Brooklyn look the classic fedora in black, freddy krueger plaid leggings from Buffalo Exchange ( Chelsea ), and my mothers vintage fur. With a matching fur clutch that basically blends right in with the fur coat.  Nails were this amazingly rad Brooklyn chick whos' go mad chic style, check her out on instagram @ponymaane. Speaking of Rad people my favorite New Yorker will be featured next week in her amazing mothers vintage .. its a beautiful Mink. This girls got fashion of her own, and I will post more on her next, so stay tuned.
